GMS Case Studies

Over the years we have had some very interesting stories from some of our customers using our products. Some of them are available on this page for you to take a look at.

We hope that in reading these case studies you will be assured of the reliability, scalability, security and low TCO of the Gordano Messaging Suite.

Ferrari North America:
This prestigious car manufacturer was looking for a more efficient and reliable way of communication both internally and with their dealerships across North America. The Gordano Messaging Suite has given them a non-restrictive messaging system that is both easy to administer and as an extra bonus supports 12 international languages.

Freenet:
Written in 1999 this story details how the first ISP to offer free internet access nationwide on a local call rate, used Gordano's mail server to cope with the rapid expansion. GMS Mail (formerly NTMail) performed brilliantly and with only a very small budget Freenet were able to make their mark in the world of ISPs.

Manchester Evening News:
Manchester Evening news embarked on a project to bring together over 1 million sport enthusiasts in the North of England. The Gordano Messaging Suite's Communication server now delivers personalized information to thousands of subscribers quickly and efficiently. The high reliability and extremely low maintenance means that costs are kept to a minimum.

Siemon:
Siemon were looking for a solution to ensure their distribution partners were fully up-to-date and had found that relying on paper-based mailings was simply not efficient or cost effective. They had to reduce information delivery costs, and manage relationships with distribution partners in a more timely and targeted manner. The chosen solution had to integrate seamlessly with Siemon's existing infrastructure and GMS has fulfilled that role perfectly.

Barking and Dagenham Local Education Authority:
Imagine running a WAN where you need to regard both inside and outside as unsafe when it comes to configuring firewalls and virus protection. Imagine that many of the sites on your WAN have two separate networks managed by staff with very different needs and skills, and other sites are still running peer-to-peer networks due to limitations of scale and local expertise. Does this sound like a big headache to maintain? Well, that's education and "Education doesn't work in the normal way and never has done!", according to Steve Power, Head of Educational IT. This case study details how Barking and Dagenham Local Education Authority overcame these problems with Gordano products.
